In a corner of Taichung City, there is a delicately decorated small house, with white bamboo exterior; outside the door, there is a small lotus pond, a green plant wall, and scattered plants, which is the newly opened "Joy and Joy Tea" Tea House.

Drinking tea here, looking out the window, seeing the plants by the pond, and the lush trees across the street, there is a sense of tranquility; sitting in a small corner of the teahouse, one can delve into their inner depths.

Undoubtedly, if the owner of the teahouse is present, warmth permeates the space. We are not shy, talking to the graceful landlady about tea and stories. Knowing the era she grew up in when tea houses were popular and her affinity with tea accumulated over the years. Wanting to open a teahouse has been on her mind for over twenty years, especially in today's streets filled with bubble tea shops, she hopes to pass on the taste and deep heritage of Taiwanese tea.

Being an interior designer herself, her expertise lies in the details, using lighting, materials, flower arrangements, and aesthetics that feel soft and comfortable.

The ninth day of the ninth lunar month, Double Ninth Festival (aka Chongyang Festival), marks the beginning of the tea season after which winter tea and spring tea come. There are no seasons more important than these two, which is why the landlady chose this name for the teahouse. Additionally, this day holds special significance for her.

On the menu of "Joy and Joy Tea," there are teas less commonly seen in the market such as Purple Bud Black Tea, as well as traditional Dong Ding Oolong Tea, and of course, Oriental Beauty. The sweet and vibrant aroma of Purple Bud Black Tea is delightful, while the baking process of Dong Ding Oolong adds layers and depth to the tea; we enjoyed both very much. The teahouse provides a pitcher of water for guests to continually brew.

The tea sets provided by the landlady are also special; that day, our teapot and tea cup sets were different, as if she had specially selected them for us.

Each tea is paired with scones, not sweet, but savory with a cheesy flavor, so the pairing doesn't interfere with the taste of the tea, highlighting the landlady's attentiveness.

On the second floor, there is a separate home space where a group of friends can have private gatherings.

In April, the weather in Taichung is already hot, but the restless heart, after drinking tea, was completely soothed.
